        What Size Nestbox?

General rule of thumb:
a nestbox should be 2 inches longer & 2 inches wider than the doe

Don’t give them too much room, it will offer them the opportunity
to lie in the nestbox and possibly crush babies.

My nestboxes are 8 inches wide, 8 inches tall and 14 inches long.
These are for Holland Lop and Netherland Dwarf.

I use metal in the warm months & wood with wire bottoms in the cold months. I line the bottom of my wood nestboxes with cardboard & put in 2 inches of pine shavings then fill them with coastal hay.
