HomeoPet® WRM CLEAR

INDICATIONS:

Treatment of worm infestations where a drug free approach is favored. The ingredients have drug monographs covering tape, round and hookworms. Debilitation caused by severe worm infestation where concurrent use with conventional wormers is indicated. To aid recovery from worm infestation. To reduce environmental contamination by suppressing worm egg production and thus reducing reinfestation.

FORMS: Liquid PACKAGE SIZE: 15 ml

DOSE: Dogs/Cats under 20 lbs/10 kg - 5 drops; 20 - 100 lbs/10 - 50 kg - 10 drops; over 100 lbs/50 kg - 15 drops.

For treatment to remove worms, 3 times daily for 14 days. For prevention of worms, 3 times daily for 7 days only every 3 months. Prevention dosing is recommended. For persistent infestation, one dose daily for 30 days.

ADMINISTRATION: Optimally the liquid preparation should be dropped directly into the mucous membrane of the mouth including lips, ideally in dogs by pulling out the labial pouch and in cats by raising the head until the mouth opens. Where an animal finds this distressful or an owner is unable to comply, the medication can be put in the food, water or milk. Where animals are sensitive to the odor of the alcohol preservative, a 10-20 minute period should be allowed for it to dilute and evaporate before the liquid or food is presented to the patient. Occasionally animals will shake their head as a response to the alcohol preservative, cats may salivate excessively and in these cases presenting it in food, water or milk works best.

ADVERSE EFFECTS AND CONTRAINDICATIONS: Although no evidence exists to the contrary, care should be taken with it’s use in pregnant animals, as low potency homeopathics are historically not regarded as totally safe in pregnancy, despite their lack of chemicals. DRUG INTERACTIONS: None known for animal use; keep out of reach of children.

PHARMACEUTICAL PRECAUTIONS: Store at room temperature, out of direct sunlight, away from powerful magnetic fields and strong odors.

USER SAFETY: No adverse effects have been recorded. There have been reports to the company of beneficial rather than adverse effects. As homeopathics are active in humans, care is advised when handling product, although a long history of homeopathics used in humans shows a very high safety margin.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: To date none found.

FURTHER INFORMATION: Animals with tapeworm should be treated to remove all fleas to prevent immediate re-infestation. Fleas are part of one tapeworm species life cycle. Raw food contaminated with tapeworm cysts should also be considered another source of infestation in recurrent tapeworm infections. Every effort should be made to prevent pets from eating their own feces until this treatment has successfully cleared the infection where tapeworm is present. It is important to keep runs where your pet may be confined dry and free of any feces.
